Meet 11AM at Building 1, Fort Tilden, for an easy hike along the beach and through the woods with Mickey Cohen & Don Riepe. Learn about the history & ecology of the Fort, woods, and beach areas and look for winter wildlife. Free champagne afterwards.

Continue the 25 year tradition and join with American Littoral Society members. Hike at Fort Tilden, Queens or Sandy Hook, NJ. At noon, the groups will signal to each other across the harbor.

Join American Littoral Society and NYC Audubon members for a weekend at the luxurious Manor House, with its heated pool, Jacuzzi, spacious lobby and restaurant. Visit the eastern tip of Long Island during "quiet time" and peak winter birding. See thousands of waterfowl, including loons, m ergansers, eiders, scoters and goldeneye, as well as lots of seals. Visit Montauk Bluffs, the Walking Dunes, Oyster Pond and Hither Woods.

Calling all Volunteers to Sandbag Boathouse!
Saturday 11:30 to 3:30

Row New York needs your help in placing sandbags at the base of its new temporary boathouse.
They are asking for volunteers to come out to the boathouse to help.

They will:
a. Provide work gloves & hand-warmers
b. Provide food & hot coffee, tea, water
c. They will also be running a shuttle from Mets-Willets Point subway stop (#7 train).
