Captain John Doswell was a writer, designer, producer and software developer for many years before turning his attention to NYC's waterfront. He serves on the board of several waterfront organizations and was the founding Chair of Friends of Hudson River Park. He is also Co-Chair of Manhattan Community Board No 4 Waterfront & Parks Committee and 1st Vice Chair of the Hudson River Park Trust Advisory Council. He is the Executive Director of the Working Harbor Committee and Save Our Ships New York (for the historic fireboat John J. Harvey) In addition, he is a waterfront consultant, event producer and maritime film/photo consultant.
