Aria Cochran is the director of communications at Waterfront Alliance where she works collaboratively across all departments to elevate the organization’s mission through digital and traditional media. Prior to joining the Waterfront Alliance, Aria served on the communications teams for a variety of organizations spanning video production to nonprofit advocacy. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in film and media studies and a Bachelor of Arts in English, both from Southern Methodist University. During her undergraduate years she studied abroad with Semester at Sea, visiting more than 17 countries from the comfort of the USS Explorer. She later went on to obtain a Master of Science in media management from Fordham University. Aria’s passion for digital communications and love of the open sea come together in her current role to show the world how we build, transform, revitalize, and protect accessible waterfronts for all communities.
