Waterfront Alliance Corporate Council
Hudson River, New YorkWaterfront Alliance’s work and mission embrace interdisciplinary collaboration and cross-sector dialogue. Serving as a trusted convener since 2007, Waterfront Alliance brings together diverse stakeholders spanning environmental justice non-profits and community-based organizations to government agencies and private businesses from varied sectors such as offshore wind, port and terminal operators, maritime, engineering, design, real estate, and more.
We believe a green/blue infrastructure strategy, jobs strategy, and protections for the maritime and working waterfront industries are core to the economy and the future of the region. Since the nation’s formation, the New York- New Jersey Harbor has been the driver of the regional and nation economy.
As we continue to evolve from the region’s industrial past revitalization of the waterfront is still greatly needed; sustainability and resilience must be the standard; and the lesser known, essential maritime and water-based blue economy must be enhanced and preserved. Environmental and economic protection of the region go hand in hand and are interdependent.
To this end, Waterfront Alliance established the Waterfront Alliance Corporate Council in 2023.
The Waterfront Alliance Corporate Council (WACC) is a network of corporate leaders who, alongside Waterfront Alliance, are at the forefront of business responsibility in this time of great transition.
Members demonstrate their commitment to sustainability and transformative change, and benefit from opportunities to connect with like-minded entities, decision makers, and initiatives that push for systems-based change.

Membership Information
Annual WACC membership includes invitations to one Kickoff Breakfast and Networking Event, one virtual conference call to discuss the annual Waterfront Conference program and priorities, four “Changemakers” Breakfasts, two WACC advisory calls, and opportunities to participate in annual DEI+J trainings with Waterfront Alliance staff, board, and partners.
There are additional benefits available, including group discounts for the WEDG® Professionals Course and special sponsor packages for the annual Waterfront Conference and Heroes of the Harbor gala.
